At RCR infrastructure, we’re always expanding our service offerings. That’s because we understand that technology is evolving every day, and we want to ensure our valued clients aren’t left behind. In keeping with our commitment to constantly evolve and grow, we’ve formed a partnership with Hong Kong drone consulting service RaSpect to offer a wide range of drone services for our clients.
RaSpect offers a new level of drone capability, including 3D photogrammetry, professional-grade infrared thermography and specialist media storage capabilities. Thanks to this new partnership, RCR now offers all of the specialist RaSpect services right here in New Zealand.

A Safer Way To Inspect Your Infrastructure
Safer building inspection capabilities
There are many reasons that the façade of a building needs inspection and using RaSpect drone technology is a new level of competency in this area. Whether a building needs regular inspections during construction, or even as the years go by to identify maintenance and cleaning requirements, drones represent a much safer way to carry out this task.
Thanks to the RaSpect system, we can now assist clients with complete building inspections without the use of scaffolding, ladders, cranes or any other potentially dangerous and costly practices. Feeding recorded images back to a central hub, we can identify any areas of concern through careful real-time and post-inspection video analysis.
3D modelling
Using 3D photogrammetry and True-scale Measurable 3D modelling, we can now assist our clients to access comprehensive 3D building modelling at any stage of construction. From checking the construction process to acquiring clear 3D models of older buildings, it’s all part of the service from RCR.
This service isn’t limited to buildings, of course. We can assist all types of businesses, councils and planning authorities with any type of aerial inspection and 3D modelling. From pylons and bridges to skyscrapers, there are no limits to the structures we can work with. Using digital technology and drones rapidly speeds up the process of generating 3D models.
Infrared thermography services
Infrared technology is an excellent way to conduct thorough building inspections that take into account much more than the façade and general structure of the building. This incredible technology helps us identify and monitor heat in a building. The use cases for thermography services are many and varied, from checking for heat loss in buildings to thoroughly inspecting assets such as HVAC.
When it comes to energy management, infrared thermography using drones is an excellent way to identify air leaks, heat loss and other issues that could be affecting the energy efficiency of a building. Anything that helps to save building owners money is a valuable service, which is why we now employ the use of drones and infrared thermography in our building inspection services.
Premium data storage
Using drones for building inspection services is one thing, but if you can’t easily access all of the data for analysis, it becomes a less effective process. With the RaSpect drone system, all recordings are organised and carefully categorised according to your needs. Not only is this a huge practical boost for post-inspection analysis, but it can also be used well into the future.
For each subsequent inspection, we can now refer to previous inspection footage and recordings to confirm that building improvements have been successful or otherwise. For long-term building maintenance, RCR’s RaSpect drone technology has numerous benefits.
